Northeastern Wisconsin Hardwood Forest - $49,900
This magnificently wooded property is in the heart of the "Waterfalls Capital" of Wisconsin, Marinette County.
Marinette County has a unique geological structure and diversity of gradient that has created many magnificent waterfalls. There are dozens of larger falls and hundreds of smaller ones throughout the area. The best part is that many of them are easily accessible via county parks or forest lands that are yours to explore. Closest to the property is McClintock Falls, which has three bridges over rapids, picnic area, camping, trout fishing, an interesting hardwood-hemlock timber stand, and is a nice place to take pictures.
The Crivitz area offers exciting whitewater rafting adventure on the incredible Peshtigo River, just thirty minutes northwest of town. People of all ages, from countries around the world have discovered the thrill, excitement and natural beauty of the Peshtigo River.
The Roaring Rapids section of the Peshtigo has been well known for over 100 years and offers one of the longest continuous stretches of whitewater rapids in the region. This is the place for some of the most outstanding whitewater action.
The Peshtigo is a river of many faces, appealing to almost anyone's ability level. In spring and early summer, melt water and rainstorms swell the river's flow enough to thrill even the hardcore adrenaline seekers. Flows ranging from 300 to 3,000 cubic feet per second (cfs) and beyond can turn the Class II Rapids into Class III-IV wild water.
You'll find something for everyone with this northeastern Wisconsin location.
